This day was extra special. They came right up to our back door so we fed them and tried to get them to come as close to us as possible. It was so fun.

our new pets
We have had a new addition in our house hold. They are the ducks that reside in our back yard....more specifically, our pool. It is the same 2 ducks, a male and a female, and they come every day. I have seen them at night too sleeping on the deck, or sleeping in the water. In the past couple of years we have found duck eggs in the back yard, so we are hoping they lay eggs again this year....then if that comes true, we will try to take the eggs and take care of them ourselves. {The eggs never seem to make it to an actual baby duck} So the highlight of our days are to go out and feed the ducks. Berkeley has really enjoyed it.

She can't even feed the ducks with out a diet coke in hand...she is her mother through and through.
Our daily duck trips over to the house didn't last too long last year, it looks like these guys are staying for good! Brody is convinced that he is the reason they are living. So we'll see you shortly with our stash of 'food' to keep the ducks alive. Is it weird that we are all bonded to these ducks?? HAHA.
