35 1/2 Weeks

Well this is what it looks like to be 35 1/2 weeks pregnant. Its really fabulous. I'm going to be positive and say that this pregnancy has been great and I'm never uncomfortable, I'm never grumpy, I never get fed up, I never wake up 3 times in the night because of discomfort, and I'm never tired. I am patiently waiting for the arrival of this little man.

What Happens When you can Hear and Breathe?

My life this last week has been me just purely enjoying this new child I have. I have this little girl who now has so much more energy, and is so much happier. It really makes me sad I didn't have her surgery a lot sooner seeing the drastic change that it has made in her. She has been so much more active and mobile and happier to just play. I have also enjoyed this somewhat of a new little face on her. For the past 2 years Berkeley's mouth has always been open. Now, its closed. It sounds stupid, but it really makes a big difference in her face. Yesterday at dance I probably got excited about it 3 separate times. I'm so happy my sweet girl is not in pain and not uncomfortable and can hear and breathe like a normal 2 year old should.

Quite Eventful 2 Days

Yesterday Berkeley finally had her surgery. We checked in at 7, at 8:30 she was in surgery, and at 9:15 she was done. We had to wait a few minutes to go and see her because she actually gave us a little scare. When they took out the breathing tube, she had mucous in there, so her chords closed shut and she stopped breathing. They had to give her the oxygen bag and force air back into her. Then they had to suction the mucous out. When I finally got to see her she was coughing very badly and looked like a rag doll. It was a little scary seeing her like that, but she was normal within a couple of minutes. She took a while to wake up, so I got to hold and cuddle her for a good 45 minutes.

Last night she was running around and yelling being more energetic than ever. She has really come alive and already is talking so much more and so much different.

On another note, today we set up Berkeley's big girl bed and she took a nap in it for the first time. After about an hour of trying different tactics she finally fell asleep in her bed.

AZ Pride

Go Cardinals!!!! I am so excited/shocked today as the Cardinals won their game and are going to the Super Bowl! The whole second half I was biting my nails and full on was having anxiety. Here we come Super Bowl!!!! WOOO!!!!!

{A First}

Since Berkeley was about 12 months old we have been listening to Barney in the car. I absolutely hate it, but she loves it. Yesterday for the first time she started singing along with the songs. I was so surprised how many different songs she knew the words to. It was so sweet hearing her little voice to all these terrible annoying songs.
