Crazy Ducks and Matterhorn Rides

We are finally home after our long, but super fun California trip. We were there for about 10 days without Todd. I figured we would leave him alone with his finals so he could study and not worry about having to come home. We went to Disneyland, the Santa Ana Zoo, out to lunch, dinner with my BF, had card night, saw the entire family, made 3 Target trips, like always visited H&M, and got to sleep in while my mom woke up with the kids.

Disneyland was so much fun. It was even better than last time we went because Berkeley was just that much more into it. I took her on the Matterhorn for the first time! I cant believe that she is that old. I didn't know while we were on the ride how she was liking it until about half way through the ride I heard her cracking up....so she loved it. We went with my sister Danielle and her family of 5 kids, so Berkeley loved to go on the rides with her cousins. Once again, it was SO hot that day! It made the day that much more exhausting. Beckham added a little challenge to my day. He wouldn't really sleep at all, so he was fussy quite a bit, making my arms so tired. It definitely made me with Todd was with me. We loved it though. It was a special day for Berkeley and I.

We also went to the Santa Ana Zoo. It is a really small zoo, but I had never been there, so it was fun to just see. We did have quite an adventure while we were there. While the kids were looking at the ducks, I wanted to get a better picture from a different angle, so I stepped into the duck habitat. Bad decision....the biggest duck looked at me curiously and started walking to me. I was all excited because he was coming close to me! Then he took a mad dash at me and started attacking my leg and biting it. It FREAKED me out! My sister started yelling for me to hand her my camera and I just told her to try and get a picture. Unfortunately she didn't get one. It was so scary. I had butterflies in my stomach for like a half hour later!

This weekend I had the chance to hang out with my high school girlfriends. I really always forget how much I love hanging out with them because I rarely get to do it. We had a really fun time together and laughed a lot.

Friday night was a different kind of hoot. My sister Danielle and I took her 9 year old daughter and her friends to get pedicures and to dinner for her birthday. It was pretty funny seeing a bunch of 9 year olds interact thinking how goofy they are but also thinking I used to do the same exact things and say the same stupid things. It was a fun night.

Congratulations to my amazing husband for finishing his first year of law school with flying colors! I am so proud of him and all the hours that he he has put in this last school year. He is such a smart man and I am so lucky {blessed} that he is my husband. I love you Todd! I miss you!

A Great Start to a Great Trip

On Friday me and the kids flew out to California. It was my first flight with 2 kids. The flight was easy...a piece of cake! It was the security line that was crazy. I had my double stroller and then Beckham was in the car seat in the stroller. When I went through, I had to take Beckham out of the car seat and then put it through the conveyor machine. Then they wanted me to collapse my stroller and put it through also. I told her it wouldn't fit, but she didn't believe me, so I had to ask a stranger to hold my baby and then 'attempt' to put the stroller through but...shocker...it didn't fit. So then I get my baby back and we all 3 walked through the metal detector and it kept beeping. I had no idea what it was! So they told me that all 3 of us have to be searched. So we go over to the searching section only to find my cell phone in my back pocket. I'm an idiot! But we still have to be searched. So I get searched while I am holding beckham, then they search him, then they search Berkeley with her arms up and everything. It was a pretty funny experience.

Saturday night my sister Ashley surprised us girls and my mom with tickets to Grease. It was SOOOO amazing! Of course the singing was flawless, the dancing was so energetic, and it made me want to have gone to high school in the 50's. We had so much fun with each other. It really amazes me sometimes how similar us sisters are even though we are SO different. We were laughing and giggling at all the same jokes in the exact same way. We really had a lot of fun together.

Sunday we went to my sister Danielle's ward and surprised my mom by singing in sacrament. Danielle arranged 'I Often Go Walking' and we all 4 sang. It was beautiful and both my parents loved it. It was very special. Then after church we went to Danielle's for lunch and my grandma came over. It was a real fun day. My sister Whitney watched Beckham while I took a nap, and that was the best mother's day present ever! And sorry to Grandma...Beckham pooped on her lap and she had a big yellow stain on her pants all day. I felt so bad!

Happy Mother's Day to my mom, grandma, mother in law, sister, and sister in laws. You are all amazing mothers and are all examples to me!

My Mother's Day Gift

This little girl right here is the only mother's day gift I need. She is the sweetest, most tender hearted, funniest, goofiest, happiest 2 year old I know. She is my little best friend. She makes me laugh so many times in the day. She always makes me smile. She gives the best cheek kisses. She tells me "I lub you mommy". She kisses every boo boo. She loves to hop around. She loves her princesses. She loves her "Geckham". She is the best swimmer ever. She loves cereal just like her mommy. She loves her friends. She loves her cousins. She loves her friends moms. She 'mostly' obeys her mommy. She draws pretty circles. Shes a pro on her elmo car. Shes afraid of slides. She is so smart it amazes me every day. Her 's' sound is a 'th' sound. She loves the sun and the moon. Most of all she loves me. That is the best mother's day present ever!
