What did I do on Saturday Night?

Its so funny how much I love just sitting down at my computer and having some nice down time. One of my friends was saying how our our generation loved watching tv...saved by the bell, family matters, full house, hey dude!....and the kids now are on the computer all the time instead of watching tv. Its interesting but totally true. Our babysitter says she doesn't watch tv, she only goes on the computer. Anyways, the point being, I just love relaxing at my computer and being entertained by my friends lives, celebrities, games ( I'm addicted to scrabble right now) and online shopping.

This weekend was fun and productive. Friday night we had a family date and went to Joes BBQ in Gilbert. It is SOOO good!! Berkeley is a handful at meal time now. She realizes that we are eating so she will yell and whine until we feed her. But I mean yell and whine in between each bite! It gets pretty old really quick! But I love having her with me, so oh well, got to live with it. Then Saturday morning I had a primary day activity to go to. It was so much fun. I have reached the point where I love my calling in primary. I love all those kids. They are so funny and sweet and look up to me so much that it makes me feel like I am really making a difference. Then when I got home, Todd and I did yard work for about 4 hours. Todd did 98% of the work, but I did go to Home Depot and I planted some new flowers. It wouldn't have been so bad, but it was about 95 degrees outside. Todd was a trooper though, and it looks really good now. Then Saturday night we went out to dinner again just the 3 of us, then went to Babies R Us ( am I really going to babies r us on a Saturday night? what happened?) and we bought a new car seat for Berkeley. She is too tall for her infant one, so we had to make the change. I also wanted to show Todd the amazing store called Babies R Us....because, well, its amazing! Then Sunday was typical. Go to church, take naps, and visit family.

Leggings?.....Yes, Leggings

I just got her these leggings. They are the cutest! So the latest...I had the flu this week which was terrible. It hit me in the afternoon and I could barely function and I had to have Todd take care of Berkeley for like 3 hours while I could sleep because I could not even start THINKING of taking care of her. I threw up once which is never fun, and then for the rest of the night I would sprint to the toilet thinking I was going to throw up, then I wouldn't. So I was on the verge the whole night, which is worse than actually throwing up. It lasted about 2 days. It sucked. So that was my week!!

Emotional TV

Just a quick thought...yes, I am talking about tv again, and yes I need to get a life, but how many of you cried during greys anatomy last night when they showed Izzy's little girl?? My heart just broke and the best part was right after, with out looking, Todd reached over and touched my face because he totally knew that I would be crying. It was funny. He always knows when I am going to cry! Greys was good last night! I love Izzy, totally OVER Meredith (have been for a while) and I was so happy that Christina was FINALLY unselfish with Burke. Thats all!!

Men and Women

Well life is normal again at the Farnsworth home. Berkeley and I are back home and now Todd can function again and feel his normal life come back to him. We were gone for about two weeks, so I was ready to come home too. I always find it so sweet, but mostly funny... every time I go out of town I usually leave the house fairly clean. So when I come back Todd always makes a huge effort to clean it up for me. This is the funny part... I come home to a pretty clean house, except a dirty pan that has been soaking in the sink for probably a week, a dirty frying pan on the stove, and all his "guy" stuff pretty much everywhere. I feel bad even saying all this because I know he tries and its so cute! But its just so funny what a guy thinks is clean and what a girl thinks is clean. Half the time when I REALLY deep clean they have no idea what went on and mostly how long it took you to do it...very frustrating at times. But oh well... thats the life of a mom and Im happy to live it.

On another note...Im totally anti american idol, I know Im like the only one on this earth, but I did watch the end last night and I am SOOO glad Sanjaya got kicked off. He was such a (how do I put this) questionable sexually oriented horrible singer....(that probably didnt make sense) So Im glad to see the people with real talent are on now. And lets just have a shout out to the fact that Ugly Betty and Greys Anatomy are finally new tonight!! I feel like I need to have a celebratory dinner just because of that!! Happy Thursday everyone.

A Good Day

What a day today has been. It has been busy but very edifying. It started off at my sisters house with craziness as usual. Berkeley was on one, and so was my nephew who is 19 months. So the combo was SO MUCH FUN!!! But we did manage to make them happy and squeeze in a cousin bath.

Then my sister Ashley and I got a chance to go visit my mom in the hospital, who by the way is doing great. She just had surgery to remove breast cancer. She had incisions on her breast, back and armpit, so her arm mobility is very limited. She is at USC so it was fun to drive out there and see some of the campus, but mostly good to see my mom. She was totally surprised to see me so it was good to see her happy. You aren't supposed to bring babies in, but we snuck Berkeley in and my mom was so glad to see her. I think it really cheered her up. Then Ashley and I got to go to lunch which we rarely get to do, so that was nice to spend some quality time with her. Then I was lucky enough to take my grandma on her weekly errands and to the grocery store. So I was able to help her with her groceries, but mostly I was glad to spend time with her as well. So a good day to spend quality time with family. It makes everything worth while. But I do still love my hubby most! (wink wink) I miss you!!!

California

I am In California right now at my sisters house. I have been here since last Thursday and it has been a treat. During the weekend I hung out with old high school friends which was SO fun. I guess it makes me feel like I am in high school again... because it was so long ago...Then Saturday I went to my nieces baptism which was so sweet. It brings me back to my baptism, which holds a really special place in my heart. I guess the extra bonus has been that my mom has been waking up with Berkeley and letting me sleep in a little bit. Best thing EVER!! Then on Easter, church was a real treat. I saw 3 of my friends that I grew up with my whole life and we talked a long time. I love coming home just for these reasons. I get so excited when I get to see everyone who I never ever see and it is so fun. We went over to my brothers house for Easter dinner and I made a cake shaped like a bunny head and candy for its face. It turned out OK... not my best work, but it was a hit for the kids.

Today my sister and I hung out going antique-ing and to see Blades of Glory. It was a little chaotic during dinner time. Berkeley was CRAZY because she was delusionally tired and I tried to make dinner at the same time. While baby Einstein was on repeat and so annoying, and her other 2 kids were having small breakdowns. It gave me a taste of what life has in store for me, and I am pretty prepared for it. By the way, Blades of Glory is pretty funny! I will never get sick of Will Farrells humor. Always at his movies I am the only one laughing at the stupidest things. I just laugh watching him. And its extra funny because John Heder looks exactly like my brother in law, Tanner!!

Tomorrow my mom goes in for surgery, so I hope all goes well. From here on out, all my attention will be towards her. She will do great and I will do even better taking care of her!!!

Lots O' Random Thoughts

Lets start with the fact that all night I have totally felt sick, like flu coming on sick. I felt weak, queasy, and I couldn't eat dinner( I don't know if its because I'm a bad cook, or I really am sick) So of course I am freaking out because I don't want Berkeley to get it, and tomorrow I'm going to California for 2 weeks to be with my sister and her newborn baby ( bad sign number one) and then take care of my mom after she has surgery (bad sign number two)

Which brings me to my next subject, my mom having surgery. My mom has stage 1 breast cancer and was diagnosed about 3 months ago. It hasn't been too hard to cope with mostly because her survival rate is 97%. But I know my mom has been a little emotional, which is totally normal and ok, but now that the surgery is next Tuesday it is racking my mind. Mom, just know I am thinking of you and will be praying for you. I'm so glad that I can be there for her and take care of her. I feel privileged to be the one kid out of seven to have that opportunity.

Now my day...home ALL day. Brooke came over this morning, then I cleaned my house, then just stayed home all day. So weird, but I don't even mind.

Tomorrow we go to the design center for our house for the second appt and it is so hard deciding what the right things to add and not to add. I'm purely thinking resale, and what options would be the most beneficial with out going overboard.

A distant friend, just had a baby this morning that has spine ebifida. ( I think that's how you spell it) I read her emails and saw the pictures and it brought me to tears seeing the miraculous things that have been happening. From all the prayers, this baby is doing so well and hopes to be doing well in the future. It made me think about how blessed I am and what wonderful and strong people they are for going through this journey in their life.

Last but not least, LOST was so good tonight and I love when the shows are good, unlike last weeks. I love that show so much it is probably creepy.

What a Morning

Ridge is a whole year older than Berkeley and weighs a whopping 2 pounds more than her!! CRAZY!

An example of the chaos that goes on in Brookes life like every second.

So Brooke Todds sister came over this morning so I could take some pictures of her kids. Lets just say a little chaotic, but mostly fun. Out of the hundred pictures we took we got a few good ones!!

Handsome Little Brody

Just the cutest thing ever!
This picture could be considered questionable, but the phrase kissing cousins has to come from somewhere.

Brody is Todds sisters little boy. He LOVES Berkeley and has ever since she was born. I guess you can say they have a special little bond. Brody is so funny and SO handsome. Hes a fun boy to be around. I guess his mom is pretty cool too.
