utah {spring break}

for spring break the kids and i went to utah to stay at my sisters house. we drove up with my sister in law and her 6 kids, and me and my 2 kids....pretty funny. good thing they have a 15 passenger seat van! the drive was 13 hours and i think i had a harder time being in the car then my kids did.

while we were there everyone stayed at my sisters house, so there were 14 kids and 7 adults in one house all week. it was fun, but it was pretty chaotic. while we were there we had a princess birthday party, went to the dinosaur museum, i went on a ridiculous hard run with my brother in law, we made wanna be jcrew shirts for the girls, we went to the farm, we went snowboarding.....TWICE!, went out to dinner with all the adults while the big cousins watched the little cousins, and we watched the snow fall almost every day. such a fun trip, but i don't think i will be making that drive anytime soon!

being robots

me and my nephew tanner. he is 7 and was AWESOME on the snowboard. he went both days, and hung on with the adults the whole time.

both days we snowboarded he snowed the entire days. i was freezing! i had so many layers on and a face mask that i totally looked like a boy.

California Utah Women's Luncheon

my amazing mother was honored a couple of weeks ago by the california utah women {its an lds organization} at the disneyland hotel. they choose a woman that lives in southern california that has been a mother, served the church, and has served the community. my mom of course is amazing in all 3 of these areas....

it was really quite overwhelming how many people were actually there, and it made me realize that MY mother was chosen out of thousands of women, how special she really is, and reminded me of the amazing life that she has had. our whole family attended, as well as some of my moms colleges. it was a really special day, and i was so glad i could be there to support my mom.

the best part was the addition of the yellow book at the last

minute because that also 'matched'.

we're "that" sick family

in the last 3 weeks beckham has had pneumonia and now RSV, berkeley has pneumonia, i have either one of those {don't know which one but its in my lungs} and todd thinks he has had the lung thing as well. can i just say i really wish i lived by my mom so she could have helped me on the days where i was laying on the couch sick, and i still needed to take care of my kiddos. we have been to the doctor 3 times in 2 weeks, and have had a total of 5 prescriptions. sick kids is always hard but when i'm sick too, it almost makes me a little bit loony. i will say both kids are better, with lots of medications, so hopefully our future looks a little more bright.

happy happy birthday

sunday night we celebrated beckhams first birthday.
im not one for having huge birthday parties, i just like to keep them

simple with family. we had over the warners, starks', and the martins. perfect

amount of people! we had cupcakes and ice cream for dessert, opened his little presents,

and visited for a bit. it was a nice sunday night party.

singing happy birthday....taylin was very happy to blow the candle out for beckham

beckham ate his cupcake all gone in minutes...so fast i actually didn't even see him eat it. it was pretty funny.

these guys are 4 days apart!

this is the gift todd and i got for him and every time he walks with it he sticks his tongue out like this. he is my goofy little man.

3rd annual girls trip

every year the girls in my family go on a girls trip. this year it was just me and my 3 sisters and we went to park city...maybe the most awesome place ever.
we stayed in a hotel right at the bottom of canyons resort, so we could walk right over to the lifts and hop on.

the first day we did some grocery shopping with insane long lines, then went to dinner at main street pizza and noodle.

then friday me, whitney, and danielle hit the slopes while ashley relaxed in the room. the weather was FREEZING!!! every inch of our bodies were covered with something. nothing like the 50 degree az snowboarding weather like i am used to! canyons is insanely huge so we never went on the same run twice. it was crazy. it snowed off and on all day, but it didn't bother us too much. mostly i just loved being in the utah snow.

it snowed almost the whole time we were there. i couldn't believe how long it kept going and going....

friday night we went to dinner at a thai restaurant on main street. i had never eaten thai before so it was a fun experience. there were some strange men next to us who first thought that we were latin, wrong, then he guessed that we were jewish...wrong again. just a little random!

saturday we started off with massages in the spa, then did the steam room and jacuzzi. it was SOO nice! then we went and got pedicures and manicures at a cheaper place, then went and saw valentines day. {so cute!} then went to dinner at a little bistro. we finished off each night with either cards, the jacuzzi, or reading magazines. the trip was SO nice and i felt pampered the whole time!

where did she come from?

this little miss decided to wake up at 3 o'clock this morning.

she never went back to bed.

she watched tv from about 4-6 am.

she played with toys from about 6-7:45 am.

she went to school from 8-10:30.

she went out to lunch.

we 'tried' to take a nap from 1-2...no success, just a really frustrated mom.

she played outside from 3-5:30 running, jumping, and bike riding.

its almost 6:30 pm and she is still going strong, not a glimpse of fatigue in sight.

where did this girl come from??

i hope a morning like this does not happen for a long time,

but i sure did enjoy her happy mood.
