i don't think i could sum up right now what we have been up to. i guess you can say just life....parks, chick-fil-a, bubbles, nursery, swimming, gym, dates, cousins, cleaning, family, suns basketball, mothers day, seminars, farewells, finals, pre-school......well, i guess i just did sum it up. just been busy!

and been loving the not insanely hot weather!

LA Ragnar

im pretty sure i just had the most fun, exhausting, painful, endearing trip ever! this was my first ragnar and it was an amazing experience. first, the company was so fun. i laughed a lot more than i am used to, i got in some good girl time , got some good beauty tips, got to know new people, and got to know the other girls better. second, the scenery was amazing. we started in ventura and ended up in dana point. my favorite cities were calabasas and la/hollywood. we got lost in west la on a friday night and that was an interesting experience. i will just say that i saw things that i have never seen before in my life. my other favorite part was crossing the finish line on the beach in the sand. so fun! third, my shin splints hurt SO bad the entire time. every step i took during my 15 miles was limped. im pretty sure during my runs i was telling myself that my leg didn't hurt and that i just needed to land on my heel and slowly take a step. it never helped. my runs were painful, but i still enjoyed them so much. i guess the scenery just over takes the pain.

6 hours of sleep over 2 days

stomach aches by all

108 u-turns

getting in a fight with a rich old lady

last weekend...

my mom was here and we had the best time with her. we went shopping, went out to eat, got nails done, she watched my kids, and she went to berkeley's swim lessons. we love when she is here....berkeley especially. in the car she asked grandma if she would sit next to her so she could love her. so sweet!

thanks mom for everything!

we spent some special time just the 4 of us....went to lunch and went to target as a family. it sounds boring, but those are my favorite days!

we spent time with the rowley's who were visiting from out of town, and the harris', which is always fun.

i ran the pat tillman run with my friends rachael and lisa. so fun! i would do it every year again and again. i love races because my competitive edge comes out and i just run like crazy....way faster than i normally run. i love the adrenaline rush!

{april}

lately....

berkeley has started swim lessons 3 days a week. this girl loves swimming!

she asks at 7 am if its swim lesson day and looks so forward to it. she always gets in trouble at lessons because she constantly swims off the step and is way too daring. i love watching her do something that she loves so much.

my beckham boy is finally walking. ok.... still like 50% of the time.

but he can take 50 steps if he wants to. my favorite is that he giggles the whole time he is walking because he thinks its the coolest thing. i give it one more week and he will be a full time walker.

i have been having the best time training for a ragnar race in two weeks. its a relay race that starts in santa barbara and ends in dana point.

i am so incredibly excited for it.

running has been my new thing that i look SO forward to every day. it makes me

happy and it makes me feel good. it gives me that sense of accomplishment that i love too. but lucky me.....i have gotten really bad shin splints from running so much. so now, to actually run the race that i have been training for, i have to take a week off, and it is driving me nuts not being able to run. 2 more days and then i can get back to my new love.

todd is getting ready to head into finals. i think this semester has been pretty mild compared to the ones before, so i think it has been a little less stressful. but finals are always stressful....so im mentally preparing myself

for having him gone for the next month.

im loving this spring weather but im dreading what weather is to

come in the next month.....

easter.

easter was a fun one this year. we spent it with todd's family, enjoyed the traditional ham dinner, had an easter egg hunt that i swear lasted about 1 minute, did a lot of candy eating in the grass, had hot weather, and had 2 happy kids.

todd's parents have a tree that blooms about 2 weeks out of the year and it is always during easter. its my favorite tree, and adds so much beauty to their front yard.

utah {spring break}

for spring break the kids and i went to utah to stay at my sisters house. we drove up with my sister in law and her 6 kids, and me and my 2 kids....pretty funny. good thing they have a 15 passenger seat van! the drive was 13 hours and i think i had a harder time being in the car then my kids did.

while we were there everyone stayed at my sisters house, so there were 14 kids and 7 adults in one house all week. it was fun, but it was pretty chaotic. while we were there we had a princess birthday party, went to the dinosaur museum, i went on a ridiculous hard run with my brother in law, we made wanna be jcrew shirts for the girls, we went to the farm, we went snowboarding.....TWICE!, went out to dinner with all the adults while the big cousins watched the little cousins, and we watched the snow fall almost every day. such a fun trip, but i don't think i will be making that drive anytime soon!

me and my nephew tanner. he is 7 and was AWESOME on the snowboard. he went both days, and hung on with the adults the whole time.

both days we snowboarded he snowed the entire days. i was freezing! i had so many layers on and a face mask that i totally looked like a boy.

California Utah Women's Luncheon

my amazing mother was honored a couple of weeks ago by the california utah women {its an lds organization} at the disneyland hotel. they choose a woman that lives in southern california that has been a mother, served the church, and has served the community. my mom of course is amazing in all 3 of these areas....

it was really quite overwhelming how many people were actually there, and it made me realize that MY mother was chosen out of thousands of women, how special she really is, and reminded me of the amazing life that she has had. our whole family attended, as well as some of my moms colleges. it was a really special day, and i was so glad i could be there to support my mom.
