Berkeley's Birthday Party

Berkeley's party was such a treat. I invited all her little friends, which are basically my friends kids.... We had somewhat of a swim party. Only a couple of us went swimming and it lasted for about 15 minutes, and then that was about it. We had lunch with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut into hearts for the kids, and salad and orange rolls for the moms. Then as dessert, we had delish coconut cupcakes. Berkeley had such a good time. She really enjoys being around her friends. Its so fun when they start remembering their friends and get super excited when they get to see them. It was the perfect party for my perfect 2 year old.

My Baby is No Longer a Baby!

Berkeley turns 2 today. I cant believe it. It seems like I just had a little itty bitty thing around, and now she is a full on kid. She is such a joy in my life and such a sweet hearted child. I am scared for my future kids because Berkeley and her sainthood has skewed my perception of what children are really like. 

For her birthday Todd and I got her a little cradle for her babies and a changing station. His mom got her a new doll, so put those all together and she was in heaven. 

We are Having A Boy!!!!!

Honestly, we could not be more excited with the fact that we are having a boy. I dont want to brag or anything, but my mother's intuition is right on cue, because with Berkeley I felt I was having a girl and with this one I totally felt like I was having a boy! We are so excited!!!!!

Our New Chapter

I often forget that the reason I even have a blog is to of course journal, and I think I have really been slacking on the end of my life. I mostly have been genuinely tired and unmotivated as I am barely getting out of my first trimester. I seriously forgot how exhausted I am all the time, and I forgot that without fail I get sick every night. And don't worry, I was constantly reminded by those around me that I have not been the same and I am pretty much grumpy. So, naturally I am so glad to feel almost myself again.

Todd started school a couple of weeks ago and he loves it....kind of loves it too much, like freaky loves it. It seriously is his calling in life to be a lawyer. He has been spending about 5-8 hours on average a day studying at the library, and that is including weekends. I am really proud of him for all his motivation and strength so far in the next chapter of his life. He is really happy with his decision, and if he's happy, then of course I'm happy.

Also adding to our new chapter in life we recently moved in with Todd's parents. It is SO much closer to school and of course helps out in the cost of living department. I am actually really loving it. Todd has been getting home between 7 and 8 so it is nice not to be home alone all that time and to have people to talk with and have my meals with. Berkeley is probably loving it the most. She has the same excitement every day to see Nana and Papa and Ashton and Layla and Aubrey....it never changes. Its very sweet. And to top it all off for her, her cousins come over about every day and she doesn't know what to do with herself she gets so excited. Overall we are very grateful for the opportunity to be living here in more ways than one.

Other than that, I am just counting the days for it to start cooling off so I can realize again why I love Arizona and why I passed up San Diego for this place. It will come soon I hope. 

Braden

My Nephew Braden was just diagnosed with Type I Diabetes this last week. He is 10 years old. I was actually there when they all found out and it was so heart breaking to see him react. He is old enough to understand the life change that will happen and he was just heart broken. After a few days though he toughened up and is now giving himself shots. I guess it has been present in his body for about 5 years but is just coming about now. He has previously had lots of headaches and had not been gaining weight for a while. Now that he has started his insulin he has more energy, has a bigger appetite, and no longer has headaches. My poor sister has a totally crazy life already with her 5 kids, 2 of which are still toddler age. But if anyone can take this on its her. Braden has been so brave and I know will continue on in his life being brave and responsible with this new journey in his life.

My Ballerina

Berkeley started dance this last week with her cousin Ava. The first 15 minutes were a little shaky considering she was crying the whole time. But after a while she warmed up and enjoyed the rest of the 45 minutes of dancing. It was a real treat to watch.

Warner Kids....Well, Not Kids Anymore

As you can see we are not kids anymore! Here is my family! Just us siblings and our parents. Its so weird to think back on the years when you actually LIVED with your family, and shared rooms and bathrooms and fought everyday! I miss those simple fun days still.... It was pretty fun to finally get a good picture.

Why Do They Do This to Me?

Of course, they recently opened an In-N- Out in my gym parking lot and it has been plaguing me ever since! Since it has been summer I go to the gym in the late morning, so by the time I get out its lunch time, and then In-N-Out is just right there in front of me, tempting me with all of its goodness. I blame it on being pregnant though......

Being pregnant you would be thinking that I am eating extra healthy to support this little human inside of me, but I have been doing just the opposite. This has been LITERALLY mostly all I eat now!

You'd Think We Cant Make a Decision!

After a long summer of playing the waiting game we have finally reached an ABSOLUTE 100% decision. Todd will going to ASU Law School! It's crazy to think that we have thought we were going to live in Chicago, Provo or San Diego, and then ended up at the place where we began! We couldn't be happier about the decision. It makes sense in every way. Todd starts in 2 weeks and he is a kid in a candy store. He is so excited to start learning and to be challenged every day for the next 3 maybe 4 years with new information. Congrats to Todd for this huge accomplishment. I am so proud of him and all the hard work he has put into his schooling!
