After much thought and consideration we are no longer buying our house. Todd was not in love with it and since we bought it, the market has gone even lower, so its not as good as a deal as we thought, so no more new house. It is probably a good thing, because I just know to always trust Todd on this kind of stuff and it will work out. But I am sad, and I have had a little going away party in my heart for my house that I never lived in.
I know its not anytime soon, but seriously, when is this hot weather going away! Every summer I try to remind myself why I live here and why thousands of other people live here too. Its pretty frightening to think that if power went out, people would just start going crazy left and right because it is just so insanely hot. Today I got home from just normal day to day things, and I was SOAKED in sweat! I'm so over this heat right now! I'm ready to wear my black long sleeve shirts, my awesome assortment of hoodies, jeans, and closed toed shoes for once!
Tonight was my first soccer practice as a real coach and it got me thinking about how much I loved playing soccer as a kid. I miss being on a team and playing a sport I love, and getting the rush that comes with it. Why don't they do these kinds of leagues for adults. You know half of us adults are totally still wishing we were 16 again.... I guess they do make the leagues, they are just so minute that you don't ever hear about them, let alone participate in them. I just wish I did a once a week thing...I would love it so much.
Why is it that every year around fall the TV season premieres start a little bit later and later. Its driving me inane how long I have patiently waited for my favorite shows to come back into my life. The networks need to stop teasing me with their trickery and get cracking all ready!

A Lovely Sunday Afternoon

We had a lovely Sunday today. It started off with church, then lunch, then a WONDERFUL long nap. Then we went over to my brothers house for dinner. My mom is in town, and my cousin and her family just moved here, so we got to spend some quality time with them. It was really fun. Berkeley thinks shes funny and was crawling in the funniest places. Shes one in two weeks and it is REALLY time that she starts walking. She is so heavy now that you cant hold her for super long, and you cant just set her down anywhere, so its seriously time to start crackin.
In other news, my brother Christian just had his fourth kid, a little boy named Grady. I cant wait to see him. It is grand kid number 20 on my side...pretty crazy! Also new news, starting Tuesday night I am going to be the Assistant coach for my 14 year old nieces soccer team. You have no idea how excited I am about this! First, it is so fun to hang out with 13 and 14 year old girls, if you are down, you seriously need to try this for a good pick me up, second, I haven't played soccer forever and am so excited to get to play twice a week, third, I am going to run with them, so hopefully I can get in a little better shape, and fourth, my brother is the Coach so it will be extra fun to hang out and secretly make fun of the girls together.

Im Sorry, Shes Just Such a Funny Baby!

My sweet little girl is standing up! Not walking..... shes not ready for that yet. She is still stoked on the fact that she can crawl around the house, so she has no interest in walking yet. She is just coming alive lately. She discovered her scream, which is funny, but sometimes irritating, and she started to realize how to throw a fit. She will scream and clench her hands and some times shake her whole body out of frustration. Mostly, its hilarious that this attitude can come from such a little person. She brings so much joy to every day, I just love her so much!Saturday, August 18, 2007
Have Some Chocolate

I bought some chocolate crackers and Berkeley loves them. She made quite a mess...she kind of looks like a man with a beard, I know, a little weird....but mostly really cute and funny! Baxter was loving the crackers too. The worst and best part was that she would suck on a cracker, then take it out and let Bax have a couple licks, then put it back in her mouth, and repeat a couple of times. Gosh I love her!Thursday, August 16, 2007
Frustration and Celebrations
I am SO frustrated! I just got back from urgent care to get treated...well, I was supposed to get treated. I walk in with Berkeley and the waiting room is empty, so I was glad because it wouldn't be long. I sign in, wait about 20 minutes then go to the back room. Slowly I do all the normal check up things, then they sent me to my room. I was in my room 45 minutes and had had enough. Berkeley was starting to go crazy, so I went up to the front desk and said I wanted my money back. Well, they couldn't give me my money back because I went in the "back". Well I didn't want to just throw away $50, so I went back to my room. 15 minutes later, still no doctor so I got up and left. A total time of an hour and half! And I wasn't even seen. I'm SO mad. I lost money, and I didn't get the prescription that I needed! The worst part was that Berkeley was crying and the whole office could here her and they still didn't sense any kind of urgency. GRRRR.....
On another note, yesterday was mine and Todd's anniversary. It was such a nice day. He got me flowers and a card and I got him a couple movies. That night we went to Macaroni Grill and then saw Hairspray. It was SOOOO good! I am not exaggerating in the slightest, but I had a smile on my face the entire show! If you already don't know, I am obsessed with musicals, especially when there is lots of dancing and singing. So of course, when I got home I immediately downloaded the soundtrack, and actually I am listening to it right now! Its so fun and so good. I am going to play it in the car and make sure Berkeley learns it nice and early. Also last night I finally finished Harry Potter. It was SO good. In the last 3 days I have read about 250 pages. The time was very well spent!

Nice Weekend
As I sit here and look at my REALLY MESSY house, it reminded me of what a good weekend I had. The mess I guess you could say is because I was so busy (and lazy) to clean it up. (Yes I am totally justifying why it is messy) Friday night we went to dinner with friends and our babies, which was hard but worth it, then Saturday Todd and I both got our haircuts, and hung out with friends more, then I took a great 2 hour nap, and then went and got a pedicure with out Berkeley. It was SO nice to just sit there and read my book and RELAX! OK, who am I kidding, I get to relax a lot, but it was still nice! Then Saturday night we got a babysitter and then went to a nice long dinner with friends again. May I just add that I have the best set up in the world. My sitter is 17 years old and doesn't really go out on Saturday nights because her curfew is early, so she loves to babysit for me. No one else knows that she babysits so she is always available, and she likes it because she can stay out late and have friends come over, so its a win win situation. So basically I have her every Saturday night! Its great. Sunday was typical church, then a delicious lunch, then we watched a good 3 hours of harry potter, then went to Todd's parents house, then to our friends for dinner. I think the whole weekend though I didn't get any scrap booking done! I'm mad at myself for that, but it was a great one!

I'm Addicted
This week has been so nice! Berkeley has been taking 3 hour naps, sometimes 3 and a half, so it gives me some good Jillian time. So every day I have been getting lots of scrap booking done. It has totally been my escape, so I don't feel the need to get out of the house as much and do random stuff. It totally fulfills my day. And the best part is I'm doing something that I will have for the rest of my life and always cherish, so it makes it that much easier to spend the money on it. OK, I will say it... I'm addicted to scrap booking! I have even been neglecting my harry potter book because I have been so into this! I have found a small increment in my day to read harry... while I do my cardio, and it goes by so fast! I cant believe I never did it before! So I am getting exercise, reading, scrap booking, and good naps in all my days! OH! I almost forgot! I cooked this week too! That's a rare thing around these parts. So I guess what I am trying to say is I feel pretty darn productive this week!

I'm in the Mood
Yep, I'm in the mood again to scrapbook. I go in serious phases...like I haven't done it for about 4 or 5 months, and now its all I can think about. I guess when it is sprawled out all over the kitchen table, its only fun to do every once in a while. Here are a couple of my favorite pages.... not going to take all the credit though, I get a lot of ideas from Heidi Swapp.

Home Again
Berkeley and my sisters little girl Carley.
A good look at the shiner.
Here's a slight shot at the shiner on Berkeley's forehead.
My girlfriend Vanessa and I. We rarely get to hang out, so it was good to see her.I got back from California last night. It was good to come home. I had been gone a week and had a great time, but I was looking forward to laying in bed and watching my tv with my tivoed shows on it. I got to spend a lot of time with my mom and my sister. My mom is redecorating her house so we spent 2 days looking at furniture and the final product turned out awesome! Of course we haven't seen it in person because we had to order it, but if I have still got it in me, it should turn out beautiful. I have to say that was a huge highlight of my trip. My mom has only purchased 3 couches in her life time. She is 64....that should say something! I was glad to see her happy about it all. The last 2 days of the trip I stayed at my sisters house, so that was really fun too. She has 5 kids so Berkeley had a good time hanging out with them.
