fireworks on the lake

amazing.

i was a little scared for this years family vacation. the kids were with todd this year, and i was so sad to not have them with me. i went a whole week without seeing them and i missed them soooo much.

i had to distract myself from that and just enjoy my time with my family.

i had such a fabulous time in big bear. i started it off with an awesome road trip with my 2 teenage nieces. we sang, laughed, talked about boys, ate candy, filmed ourselves, and saw scary people at rest stops. it was a blast.

during the trip we swam, played horseshoes, rode bikes, shopped, talked.... a lot, went swimming, played volleyball, watched fireworks, cooked, went jogging, read,decorated bikes, had a bike parade, shot water balloons at boats, experienced planking for the first time, went to alpine slides, played indoor soccer, played games, had a talent show, ate our dinners together, ate a lot of treats, painted nails, saw my sister whitney get engaged, and somehow managed to text way too much :)

i loved every minute of it, and i truly enjoyed every member of my family.

i have such a deep love and appreciation for my family and i am so glad they are so loving to me.

amazing trip.

.dance recital

berkeley was so excited to have her first dance recital. i had to drop her off early before the show started, and when she saw all of the kids in their costumes waiting she got sooo excited. she did SUCH a good job. she knew most of the dance moves and had a smile on her face the whole time. after the show she was so happy and proud of herself.

i loved seeing her so happy. :)
she loved having everyone come to her show...she kept making sure everyone saw her show, and saw her dance. it was very important to her.

a nice weekend

my sweet sister whitney spoiled me again and bought a flight for me to go out to ca and stay with her for the weekend while her boyfriend was out of town. todd and i switch off every other weekend with the kids, so it worked out perfectly. the first night my sister ashley came over, and i cooked chicken, cilantro lime rice, black beans, and mango salsa for us. we went to target, laughed, talked, watched the soup, ate, and just hung out. it was so nice. laughter has been a good medicine for me ;)

saturday i went to brunch with my high school friend raemarie and got to meet her sweet little baby for the first time, which again, was soooo nice to see her and talk to her!! i miss her!

saturday night we did a little shopping, then went to dinner in pasadena at a delicious spanish restaurant.

also in the festivities was a yoga session, yummy breakfast place in pasadena, house watching, borrowing clothes, naps, attempts at a pedicure, and visiting my grandma. my grandma had us 2 girls over for dinner and she made us little chocolate puddings in goblets. shes always done that as a little treat since we were little. it was so cute to see it again!!

thanks whit for a fun weekend! i enjoyed every minute of it!

i'm not really sure what we have been up too....

swim lessons, visiting with grama and grampa, eating yummy food, lots of coloring, basha pool, cousins house, singing princess and the frog, dance class...

we are ready for summer :)
