what a special birthday i get to experience this year.

my sweet little niece kapri was born today, so

we get to share the same birthday.

beckham decided he wanted to go and turn on the tv, which happened to be on barney, and just take a seat and relax....all by himself. it was hilarious.

quite a mess. im sure glad he was still in his church clothes.

i was totally going to wear this outfit this weekend....but i dont want to be a copy cat.

oh well.

memorial day {2010}

our weekend was filled with lots of family, lots of swimming, lots of remembering of our ancestors who served our country, lots of kids, lots of fatigue, lots of giggles, and lots of food.

ever since last weeks pink eye take over, my sweet beckham has been the happiest little boy. up until now he has struggled a bit with the whole "being a happy kid" thing. now he rarely ever cries, he acts like a big kid, he and berkeley play and laugh together all day long, he cuddles, he plays for hours, and he has become my little angel.

on another note...poor berkeley woke up with the flu this morning and has been throwing up about twice an hour. sweet thing, she doesn't complain, or get sad, or even mope around. if she wasn't throwing up you wouldn't even know that she was sick. she is currently taking a much needed nap which is being taken on mommys bed. lucky me.

pink eye!

i woke up this morning with my eye closed shut with goop.

luckily i only have it in one eye, but at the same time then you can

really tell how swollen and small my bad eye is....so i look a little uneven.

im pretty sure the last time i had pink eye i was in 4th grade.needless to say this feels a little juvenile!

i got it from my berkeley bear who had it in both of her eyes, poor thing.

now we have eye drops so we are slowly getting better.

i don't think i could sum up right now what we have been up to. i guess you can say just life....parks, chick-fil-a, bubbles, nursery, swimming, gym, dates, cousins, cleaning, family, suns basketball, mothers day, seminars, farewells, finals, pre-school......well, i guess i just did sum it up. just been busy!

and been loving the not insanely hot weather!

LA Ragnar

im pretty sure i just had the most fun, exhausting, painful, endearing trip ever! this was my first ragnar and it was an amazing experience. first, the company was so fun. i laughed a lot more than i am used to, i got in some good girl time , got some good beauty tips, got to know new people, and got to know the other girls better. second, the scenery was amazing. we started in ventura and ended up in dana point. my favorite cities were calabasas and la/hollywood. we got lost in west la on a friday night and that was an interesting experience. i will just say that i saw things that i have never seen before in my life. my other favorite part was crossing the finish line on the beach in the sand. so fun! third, my shin splints hurt SO bad the entire time. every step i took during my 15 miles was limped. im pretty sure during my runs i was telling myself that my leg didn't hurt and that i just needed to land on my heel and slowly take a step. it never helped. my runs were painful, but i still enjoyed them so much. i guess the scenery just over takes the pain.

highlights include:

6 hours of sleep over 2 days

ridiculous amounts of donut shops

stomach aches by all

108 u-turns

getting a chocolate donut thrown at me

getting in a fight with a rich old lady

sharing a queen bed with 2 other girls

bike riding

witnessing a gay bar

last weekend...

my mom was here and we had the best time with her. we went shopping, went out to eat, got nails done, she watched my kids, and she went to berkeley's swim lessons. we love when she is here....berkeley especially. in the car she asked grandma if she would sit next to her so she could love her. so sweet!

thanks mom for everything!

we spent some special time just the 4 of us....went to lunch and went to target as a family. it sounds boring, but those are my favorite days!

we spent time with the rowley's who were visiting from out of town, and the harris', which is always fun.

i ran the pat tillman run with my friends rachael and lisa. so fun! i would do it every year again and again. i love races because my competitive edge comes out and i just run like crazy....way faster than i normally run. i love the adrenaline rush!
