easter weekend

im still trying to play catch up from last weekend, now that is already this weekend! my parents, sister and bf, and brother and his family all came to town last weekend for easter. it was the first time seeing my parents since my divorce and i had been sort of aching to see them. the kids were ecstatic about having family around all the time.....between their cousins, grandma and grandpa and easter candy they couldn't have been happier.

over the weekend we went to basha pool (maybe the best thing ever....$1 for kids, 4 miles from my house, a mini water park) had a slumber party, colored easter eggs, played with cousins, went to scottsdale quarter, went bowling with my sis, went out to lunch, got a mani/pedi, and ended with easter day at my brothers.

it was so nice to see my family and get some extra needed love. :)

i totally cried when i had to say goodbye to my sister.

i wish i lived by at least one of my sisters.

i am lucky though to live right down the street from my brother and his 6 kids and have them be my adopted family.

berkeley had a fun first time sleepover with her cousins emma, delaney, and grace.

it was a cute night that berkeley and the other girls loved.

this last weekend my sweet sister whitney insisted, and paid for me to go to utah with her to visit my other sister danielle.

ive been in need of some good sister time so i was sooo glad to go.

my flight was friday morning at 6am and i only got 3 hours of sleep.....so i was a little tired.

but after 2 diet cokes and a five hour energy i was on the mountain by 11 am.

the cool thing about park city resorts is if you fly in that morning, you can show them your boarding pass and snowboard for free....so yes...i flew for free and snowboarded for free.

pretty awesome.

my sis danielle, her hubby jon, their 2 kids, my sis whitney, her bf gordon, and i all hit the slopes.

we had so much fun but we got our butts kicked each run. it was super powdery and lumpy so it was really tiring.

that night i met up with my old college roommates for dinner and frozen yogurt. it was sooo nice to see them and talk to them and talk about some pretty funny things ;)

love those girls.

we also got pedicures, went out to dinner, did a little shopping, slept in, and went to sundance.

it was really nice to spend time with my sisters and talk to them and just get a better perspective on everything.

i truly love my family so much and i am so grateful for them.

on another note, my kiddies have been amazing.

we have been playing a lot these days and enjoying the beautiful weather.

my kids have helped me keep it all together, and seeing them every day makes me want to be a better person for them.

they make me smile.

they make me laugh.

they make me feel whole.

i love them so much.

once again i have had such a fun time running a ragnar relay race.

love the running, love the competition, love the lack of sleep, love being with friends, love being dirty,

love seeing arizona, love the energy, love love love it all.

my faves this race are:

having my sis with me :)

running a ragnar that is actually local

racing a guy for 5 miles straight, refusing to let him pass me

running at 4 am

running at sunset

seeing people i know along the way

getting pushed by a guy because i was about to beat him

placing second place!!!

trying to sleep in the van and being very unsuccessful

5 hour energy + energy beans + energy chews = 1 run

knee brace... taped shin... taped Achilles... im a joke

having my fastest pace so far!

for some reason i felt i had to for beckhams boyhood.....to have a real boy haircut

i feel like hes a different kid that i need to get used to again.
