it's always something

well beckham has his first ear infection AND thrush. poor kid....i feel like there is always something wrong going on. first when he was born he had a sore circumcision, then he got cradle cap, then he got thrush, then he has been constantly congested since he was about 2 weeks, then ever since our california trip he has been REALLY congested. well it is because of this ear infection. the doctor said that because i had ear infections when i was young that most likely all my kids will have the same problem AND that it is stronger in boys. so basically he was preparing me for a couple years of lots of ear issues with beckham. i just say get him some tubes and call it a day! on top of that berkeley just got over her very painful swimmers ear and now has a really bad cough. i swear i go to the doctor all the time and someone is always sick!

i {love} summer

i just love the summer. i love feeling like i can take my time all day and that im never in a rush. i love that i finally have a pool in my backyard for the first time in my life. i love that berkeley loves to swim. i love that it has not been unbearably hot lately. i love eating popsicles. i love that its vacation time. i love that todd has a break in school for a while. happy summer!

these are our days

my sweet is 3 months

little miss not wanting to take a picture and hiding from me....she's such a stinker. she never wants to take pictures anymore!

my mr. is sure a sweet heart. he loves to smile and give me a small giggle. he loves baby einstein. he extra loves to be held. he is my little cuddle bug. he is my sweet little congested baby and I love him! happy 3 months mr!

berkeley's new favorite thing is to put up her index finger and say "I have an idea"...im pretty convinced she has learned this from dora. not me. but it is classic. 

we have been swimming basically every day, sometimes twice a day, and poor berkeley got swimmers ear. she has had yucky fluid leaking out and it has been really painful to the touch. she has cried so sadly a couple times when I have barely touched it. its so sad! she is being a trooper though and hopefully we can make it back to the pool tomorrow. 

Crazy Ducks and Matterhorn Rides

We are finally home after our long, but super fun California trip. We were there for about 10 days without Todd. I figured we would leave him alone with his finals so he could study and not worry about having to come home. We went to Disneyland, the Santa Ana Zoo, out to lunch, dinner with my BF, had card night, saw the entire family, made 3 Target trips, like always visited H&M, and got to sleep in while my mom woke up with the kids.

Disneyland was so much fun. It was even better than last time we went because Berkeley was just that much more into it. I took her on the Matterhorn for the first time! I cant believe that she is that old. I didn't know while we were on the ride how she was liking it until about half way through the ride I heard her cracking up....so she loved it. We went with my sister Danielle and her family of 5 kids, so Berkeley loved to go on the rides with her cousins. Once again, it was SO hot that day! It made the day that much more exhausting. Beckham added a little challenge to my day. He wouldn't really sleep at all, so he was fussy quite a bit, making my arms so tired. It definitely made me with Todd was with me. We loved it though. It was a special day for Berkeley and I.

We also went to the Santa Ana Zoo. It is a really small zoo, but I had never been there, so it was fun to just see. We did have quite an adventure while we were there. While the kids were looking at the ducks, I wanted to get a better picture from a different angle, so I stepped into the duck habitat. Bad decision....the biggest duck looked at me curiously and started walking to me. I was all excited because he was coming close to me! Then he took a mad dash at me and started attacking my leg and biting it. It FREAKED me out! My sister started yelling for me to hand her my camera and I just told her to try and get a picture. Unfortunately she didn't get one. It was so scary. I had butterflies in my stomach for like a half hour later!

This weekend I had the chance to hang out with my high school girlfriends. I really always forget how much I love hanging out with them because I rarely get to do it. We had a really fun time together and laughed a lot.

Friday night was a different kind of hoot. My sister Danielle and I took her 9 year old daughter and her friends to get pedicures and to dinner for her birthday. It was pretty funny seeing a bunch of 9 year olds interact thinking how goofy they are but also thinking I used to do the same exact things and say the same stupid things. It was a fun night.

Congratulations to my amazing husband for finishing his first year of law school with flying colors! I am so proud of him and all the hours that he he has put in this last school year. He is such a smart man and I am so lucky {blessed} that he is my husband. I love you Todd! I miss you!
