Beckham's Special Day

Today we blessed Beckham. We did it at our house, which I surprisingly really liked. It is not like me to go out of the norm and do traditional things different. My parents and my grandma came out from California which was a nice treat. Also with them were my nieces and nephews Braden, Brynn, Zachary, and Emma. Then all of Todd's siblings came, my brother Sean, and Todd's grandparents. Todd did an amazing job and said some very special things. Following the blessing we had lunch for everyone. It really was a very special day and I loved every second of it.

2nd {Annual} Girls Weekend

Last year we started our tradition in Newport Beach, and this year we kept up the tradition in Scottsdale. We missed my 2 sister-in-laws Dori and Heather, but we gained a new member, my cousin Amie, and 2 new little members Beckham and Bailey.

We started the weekend off on Thursday night at Amie's house with a delish homemade meal and talked and watched our favorite tv shows. Then Friday we went to Paradise for lunch and shopped at San Tan mall, then headed up to Scottsdale to our hotel. We had dinner at Kona Grill and then shopped a little at Scottsdale mall. Then of course we came back to the hotel and squeezed in some Nertz games before bed. Then Saturday we went to the pool for the most perfect weather EVER and layed out for a good 4 hours. That was pure bliss! Then we all get pedicures, then headed to dinner at AZ-88 which is my new favorite restaurant. Then of course we came back and played more nertz and topped it off with 8 different kinds of Sprinkles cupcakes.

It was such a fun weekend. My favorites consisted of.....my many voices and characters that for some reason came out, good sisterly bickering, nertz, Baby Mama, 2 newborn babies waking up in the middle of the night...numerous times, shopping at F21, watching 2 drunk guys at the pool play baseball in woman's underwear making fools of themselves, hearing everyone slip some bad words, great food, surprisingly really great pedicures, 'posing' for our pictures at the pool, talking about our husbands [in a good way :)], and enjoying each others company.

Rocky Point [mexico]

This last weekend we went to Rocky Point with our friends Scott and Rachael. We really had a great time, and wish that we could have stayed longer. Berkeley was in heaven playing with Duke constantly. I have not seen her that active in a long time! They were the best kids ever on Saturday...they swam from literally 9:30 to 3:30. They each had their own tube and were happy all day long. Beckham was a gem. He ate, slept, and sat in his car seat perfectly, and was a happy little newborn. We stayed in such a nice place it didn't even feel like we were in Mexico! We had such a great time and had really great company as well!

My little Beckham is now 2 weeks old, and I really can say that I am enjoying it SO much. I truly love the newborn stage. I love their smell, I love how simple their life is, and I love that they completely depend on their mother for their livelihood. I am not overwhelmed yet with having 2 kids. I feel like I can balance the 2 quite easily, but that is also because I have the easiest toddler known to man. I love being a mom, and I love my kids even more. I am so thankful and blessed that I have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom and get to enjoy my kids 24 hours a day. I would not ask for any other life. I just have been really grateful for my life lately, and realize how lucky I am. I have a great husband, 2 healthy children, amazing parents and in laws, and great siblings and sibling in laws. Life is truly good for us!

My Sweet Baby Boy

The wonderful day started at 5:15 checking into the hospital. May I say it is sure pleasant to do the whole checking in process when your not actually having contractions! After all the set up and paper work, I was finally given pitosin at about 6 am. I didn't feel any contractions for a couple of hours until the Doctor came in and broke my water, then they started pouring in. After that they were coming every 2 minutes STRONGLY! So about a half hour later I had my epidural. I'm not going to lie, I didn't love this epidural. It made my legs feel really restless and uncomfortable, but hey, you cant complain when you are not feeling any pain! Finally at about 4:10 I started pushing and 10 minutes later at 4:23 Beckham was born.

He came out white and purple, if you can imagine that mix. They cleaned him off and I got to hold him about 1 minute later right after Todd got to cut the cord. My mom and Todd's mom were both in the room, so they got to experience the whole birth as well. It really was sweet having both of our moms in there. I'm glad we invited them in. Overall, it was a great labor and delivery. I couldn't have been happier with my doctor and the hospital and staff were amazing! Now the reality is hitting with the fact that I now have 2 children that I am solely responsible for and its a tiny bit scary. I do love this little guy so much and just want to kiss him all the time.

Now about my first night home....uggh...lets just say, my precious little one did not sleep from 10pm to 6am, thus leaving me with no sleep AT ALL in that time frame. We are pretty sure he was really uncomfortable from the circumcision because he really looked like he was in pain. It was a hard night.... my hardest in motherhood for sure, but today I woke up and Im ok. I am just hoping that I dont have another one ahead of me!

Welcoming Baby Beckham

Baby Beckham was born today on February 25th around 3:00pm. He was 6 days early and weighed in at 8 pounds! He is healthy and so beautiful. Jillian is doing amazing and is in great spirits! Tonight Berkeley got to meet her brother and she was in hog heaven. I'll let Jillian report more when she is home and settled into her new life with 2 kids! LOVE YOU JILL!!

What to do, What to do

My sweet girl and her love of lining things up....she seriously is constantly cracking us up and constantly surprising us with her creativity.


This day she sat in this very spot for literally an hour, entertaining her self with her animals. The best part is she loves to line them up in different ways and different patterns. When she does they all face the same way too.

I just got an iphone, and I downloaded some applications for toddlers on it. One of them is a farm game where animals appear and make sounds. She LOVES this game, so this morning when she was playing, she went ahead and got her favorite animals and had them watch the game too with her. Of course, she had to have them in different configurations too, so I guess they could watch the game to the best capability.

Then there is her love for lining up, and then counting. This time she played on the counter for a good 30 minutes lining up the fruit in different ways, and then counting it. She would then put the fruit back in the bowl, count it, then line it up again, and count it. Not going to lie.... we see a little OCD in her. Hopefully it is the good kind that just brings out her organization skills and doesn't bring out the crazy side!
