Why Do They Do This to Me?

Of course, they recently opened an In-N- Out in my gym parking lot and it has been plaguing me ever since! Since it has been summer I go to the gym in the late morning, so by the time I get out its lunch time, and then In-N-Out is just right there in front of me, tempting me with all of its goodness. I blame it on being pregnant though......

Being pregnant you would be thinking that I am eating extra healthy to support this little human inside of me, but I have been doing just the opposite. This has been LITERALLY mostly all I eat now!

You'd Think We Cant Make a Decision!

After a long summer of playing the waiting game we have finally reached an ABSOLUTE 100% decision. Todd will going to ASU Law School! It's crazy to think that we have thought we were going to live in Chicago, Provo or San Diego, and then ended up at the place where we began! We couldn't be happier about the decision. It makes sense in every way. Todd starts in 2 weeks and he is a kid in a candy store. He is so excited to start learning and to be challenged every day for the next 3 maybe 4 years with new information. Congrats to Todd for this huge accomplishment. I am so proud of him and all the hard work he has put into his schooling!

My family took family pictures at the Newport temple for the first time in 3 years....very needed considering there have been 5 additions since....but here are some of the pictures my sister got. She is such an amazing photographer. She captures exactly what I picture in my mind!

Okay....Okay...

Well...the word is kind of getting out now, so I guess I will admit it.....I AM PREGNANT!!! Im only 7 weeks along, so its still really early, but we are really excited. I am due sometime in March and the baby will be 2 1/2 years younger than Berkeley.

Newport Beach Extravaganza

Every year my family goes to good ol' 30th st. in Newport beach for a week. It really is so memorable every year. I come home thinking of all the great times I have and immediately start looking forward to the next year. A nice twist to all the fun is that there are about 25 kids under 16 and about 12 adults all staying in the same place. Each family has their own room, except for me and Whitney. We were lucky enough to be 'real' adults this year and share a room and have it be our own instead of sleeping with my mom or sleeping on the couch. But there is definitely constant chaos, and I am not exaggerating in the slightest. Berkeley ate it all up. Every morning she would run to our bedroom door so she could go and play with all the kids as soon as she could think about it. My favorite part of Newport is of course relaxing on the beach. Ever since I was about 14 I love to lay out on the beach for hours on end, and I am the happiest person ever doing it. My next favorite part was watching Berkeley love the beach. She loved playing in the sand, and even loved the water more. She would constantly come to me and grab my hands and say 'mimming?' over and over until I would take her out. My next favorite is night time when most of the kids are asleep and we play games for a few hours. We might get a little crazy competitive but I think that's why I love it so much. That's what makes a game a game! Other favorites include of course spending time with my family, its the only time that our whole entire family is together all year, so of course I cherish that, riding bikes on the boardwalk, being lazy in the mornings, going jogging with my sisters, shopping at Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza, and eating at my favorite pizza place ON EARTH Rubinos.

4th of the July

We were lucky enough to go to Carlsbad California again this 4th of July with Todd's family. As always, we had a blast. We had to drive out the actual 4th so our day was cut a little short. We started at the beach for about an hour, and then headed back to our resort. We had dinner poolside, and then stayed for the annual fire works show off of the Pool deck. It was especially fun because all of Todd's family was together except for Heidi's husband. Berkeley loved the fireworks. She was literally doing 'oohs' and 'aahs' at all the fireworks which always makes it so much more fun. Then after Todd and I saw a movie. By the end of the day I was SO wiped out. We had about a 16 hour packed full day, so by the end I was exhausted. It was a great and memorable day.

I Love Summer

This summer has seriously been so fun. I think because I now have a toddler, not a baby, that I can enjoy it that much more. It is so fun to take Berkeley swimming like 5 times a week because she loves it and she is SO good at it! She loves to be under the water to just hang out. She can swim about 5 feet from one person to the other. I'm pretty impressed. I think the best part is that she says 'mimming' when ever she sees a bathing suit, a swim diaper, or a large body of water. Yesterday I took her to a mini water park and she was in heaven. She went down the slides a bunch of times, walked around in the water dunking herself over and over, and stole other peoples flip flops and towels. She was a crack up.

Another milestone that I am VERY excited about is that she likes to watch movies now. Like real movies, like Disney old school movies. She currently enjoys Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. The cutest part of that is that she asks for it and asks ' moomie' when she wants to watch one.

Her talking has increased SO much. We don't have conversations or anything like that but she has a word for almost everything in her little life. Some of which include singing 'eieio', waffle, sipee, bath, nigh night, play, bubbles, cheese, uh-oh, car, bax, giraffe, poo poo, baby, thank you, eyes, nose, teeth, and dog. There are so many but I will not bore you will my child's ENTIRE vocabulary! She is at such a fun age and I am enjoying it all so much!
